This is my message to the rest of the world. We haven't been very friendly with the U.S. in the last years. Now that change has come to America, I would ask all of us to reflect on what happened in the last two days. I was impressed about John McCain's and George Bush's ability to embrace the change and to ask their people to congregate around the new president. Something like that could never happen in Europe, and it proves again the capacity of the American people to overcome change resistance very quickly.

Barack Obama has a lot of credit now in his country and in the world. If we accept the fact that the world needs change as well, this might be a unique opportunity in time. It won't be easy, though but I would really like that the coming 4 (8?) years aren't lost.
